Death

Insurance will pay “Funeral Expenses” in the event of the death of an insured person or an insurance dependent family member.
Procedures to remove the deceased as a dependent are also required, where applicable.

If the insured person has died

Required documents:
  • Documents certifying the death
    (copies of Death Certificate and Burial Permit or Cremation Permit)
Deadline: As soon as possible
Applies to: Surviving family members

If a family member has died

Required documents:
  • Documents certifying the death
    (copies of Death Certificate and Burial Permit or Cremation Permit)
Deadline: As soon as possible
Applies to: An insured person whose insurance dependent family member has died
